The Bengal breed was born in the United States following the desire of the geneticist Jean Mill. She wanted to create a tame domestic cat despite the appearance and the wild and original character of her ancestors. The cross between the Asian leopard cat Prionailurus Bengalnsis, originally from South Asia, and the domestic cat has therefore given birth to this breed that we know today as Bengal.
